Conducted by licensed asbestos assessors across Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
Asbestos registers and management plans are completed by licensed asbestos assessors across Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. An asbestos site register is a document that contains information on asbestos containing material (ACM) within a building. It describes the condition, location and includes a risk register. The asbestos site register is to be kept on premise and made available by law (NSW Work Health & Safety Act 2011) to all employees and tradespeople who are conduction works (what does this mean?).
It is a requirement by law that the register is updated every two years or when any asbestos is identified or disturbed. Only a licensed asbestos assessor can create and maintain the site register.
The asbestos site register must:
- record any identified or assumed asbestos in the workplace.
- record the date and location when the asbestos was identified
- record the type and condition of the asbestos
- be maintained to ensure up to date information.
- State if ‘NO’ asbestos has been identified.
- Given to the person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) when there is a change of management.
We will carry out an in-depth audit of your premises to ensure our Asbestos register and asbestos management plans are accurate and up to date.

A person who has management or control of the workplace must ensure that a written plan is prepared if asbestos has been identified. This can only be completed by a Licensed Asbestos Assessor.
The asbestos management plan must:
- Identify the location of asbestos and any naturally occurring asbestos
- Include reasons for decisions about the management and controls put in place
- Outline procedures for any incidents involving asbestos and who is responsible
- maintain the plan with up to date information
- be reviewed at least every five years or when requested by a health and safety representative (HSR) or when asbestos is removed, disturbed, sealed or enclosed, or when changes to a control measure are made or when the plan is no longer adequate
- be accessible to any worker or the PCBU who has carried out or intends to carry out work at the workplace and any health and safety representatives who represent workers at the workplace
- provide information, consultation and training responsibilities to workers carrying out work involving asbestos.
- Outline the risks
